I noticed that there are some stroke displacements here and there, e.g. Frost's nose is the most obvious one. However, it's kind of cool to see your whole lines retraced when you actually ain't doing anything, right? :) Ah, this is from R&I S03E14 Over/Under. I just wish I got to see the softball game, it was about the only part of the episode I throughly enjoyed .
And it works better than I expected, but not quite, i.e. some pen strokes are slightly misplaced and the resulting sketch is not quite the same in paper (e.g. the eyes are a bit weird on screen). I'm betting one has to keep the notebook as flat and still as possible, too This is (sort of) my Skyrim character, BTW
Jane : You know people laugh at you behind your back! Maura : Really? Well, they call you a bitch behind yours! (Rizzoli & Isles S03e01) ---- Welcome to the wonderful world of I can't get a scanner right now, so you're stuck with crappy smartphone pics for the time being.
If you're reading this, it means the world didn't end yesterday, so I'm still in my one-drawing a day schedule, although I can't promise anything during Xmas :)
"We will defend the wall to the last man!" said Cotter Pyke. "Probably me." Said Dolorous Edd, in a resigned voice. Is is me or does this fella get the best quotes in the Guard? Dolorous Edd Tollet, from HBO series A Game of Thrones, based on G.R.R. Martin's saga
Yet another entry of my theme pubs spree. This one (The Green Dragon) is from Sevilla (Spain), and one of the owners did sculpt most of the stuff. Too bad they did not have any fancy drink but beer and the usual, I was sort of expecting some Lothlorien mead or whatever. Watercolors on a Stillman&Birn Alpha notebook
Dibujo Paris is a superb group of artists that meet periodically in Paris to draw together. Last sunday I was lucky to join them (thanks, Alejandra!!) and get a chance to do 15 minutes portraits of the wonderful models who posed for us during the afternoon. Here is what I got.
Quorin Halfhand, or, as someone labelled him on Tumblr, the Chuck Norris of the Night Watch. HBO A Game of Thrones, season 2, based on G.R.R. Martin's novels
I just found this old sketch inside a book, from the time I started playing with watercolors. Lucy Lawless as Xena, the Warrior Princess. Some episodes were really awful, but there were also some amazing ones (season 5 fully excluded, mind ya)
La Tetería is one of my favorite tea shops downtown in Malaga, if only for the amazing view of the cathedral when you're sitting at the tables outside.
Yet another one of my late night pub sketches, this time at Amsterdam (the pub, not the city :D) in Teatinos, Malaga, with a Grimbergen Triple on one hand and the Pitt marker on the other. This place has many beer varieties and it's not too expensive, plus they've got your typical Trivial night that actually made sense before all cheaters could afford a smartphone. A pleasant place for the last one.
"... and death will come" Jaqen H'Ghar, from HBO A Game of Thrones, based on G.R.R. Martin's book series. Is it me or Arya always gets the best guys? :D
This is a piece I did for the amazing Adora Art Project . Adora's father has been building up a collection of portraits of his baby since she was born from different people around the world. It's really nice to visit their site and see how she grows :)
