Time to post some watercolor from my latest trip!
This is Hangzhou, apparently one of China fav spots for the locals. I don't really get it, it's simply a huge park around a lake. There are interesting spots and nice places and you can rent a bike at the Youth Hostel to move around, but I've seen much better places in China. In any case, nice for an easy day around

"There’s a pretty for you. Take a good long stare. You know you want to. I’ve watched you turning away all the way down the kingsroad. Piss on that. Take your look."
And ... here's my contribution to Redcandle17's contest on Sandor and Sansa's HBO missing scene during the Hand Tournament ([link]) I decided to be all traditional for once and not only did I draw the exact scene in the book, but even stuck to the series cast (more or less)
If you want to check on the different stages of the drawing, I put it all in a step by step WIP for you [link]

Another A Song of Fire and Ice sketch for a contest by redcandle17 at Deviant Art. This one is for mother's day (I like to think out of the box). If you don't want spoilers (even though this is my guess) don't read any further ...
"Promise me, Ned"
Of course, I think that Jon is not Ned's son, but Rhaegar's and Lyanna's, and hence one of the dragon's heads (there must be three, Dani, Jon and ... this is another story :D). I'm guessing that Lyanna died of blood loss giving birth and she asked Ned to hide her son (he would have been exterminated, like the rest of the Targaryens) and protect her secret- I think this is the only way Ned would have carried a so-called bastard home, despite his views on honor. I sketched Ned as a younger Sean Bean (HBO A Game of Thrones is already on air) and tried to use a Rackham style for coloring (totally digital, this time)

As many of you may be aware of, I'm pretty fond of travel sketchbooks, so I've been organizing a workshop with several members of Urban Sketchers in Malaga. It is starting tomorrow and the program is here. We'll be working from 16:00 to 20:00 GMT+1. UNIA has kindly offered to provide video streaming for anyone interested in joining us: http://aconnect.unia.es/cuadernos2011/ You just need a plugin to get in.
The bad news: it will be in spanish, but we'll keep the camera on whatever the teacher is drawing, so you can still follow it if you don't speak spanish at all. Plus there will be an open chat for questions (see left of the screen). The good news: it is for free. You only need to log in and you are there :) If you join us and want to collaborate, you can upload your own sketches during the event. I'll keep you informed here.
Looking forwards to meeting you online this week!
