And yet more portraits for JKPP

Julia Kay's Portrait Party

Prince Viserys Targaryen

Image
You know what they say about Targaryens ... Another great cast choice for HBO, I saw this guy playing alien in Dr Who and he was creepy!

My nieces

Image
Two of my favorite persons in the whole world :)

Father and son

Image
On with my HBO AGoT portraits! Some Winterfell boys ...

Blood and prophecies

Image
... "I will be queen, though?" asked the younger her. "Aye." Malice gleamed in Maggys yellow eyes. "Queen you shall be . . . until there comes another, younger and more beautiful, to cast you down and take all that you hold dear." My entry for Redcandle17 Bechdel Test contest. And I won! Got myself a new ASoFaI t-shirt, yay!

Lunch at the beach

Image
Out of the water and right to my dish, that's how I like my fish :P And if there's paper around, I can draw while I wait :)

Cherry blossom

Valle del Jerte

Winter is here!

Image
Finally, today HBO screens the first episode of A game of Thrones, and I've managed to draw one character a day as promised :) Today, Ser Jorah Mormont.

Samsa Stark

Image
And now properly scanned, but not satisfied with this one :P

The young Wolf

Image
On with the Starks ... Two days now!

Khal Drogo

Image
Scanner-less again, but won't miss my daily AGoT sketch until the series are on air as long as I have a (lousy) camera at hand :P (Post scanner now)

The lone wolf dies, but the pack survives

Image
I was not too fond of Eddard in the books; like his wife, he's too judgmental and lacks flexibility. However, now that Sean Bean is playing the role ... GO, STARKS, GO!!

The hour of play is done

Image
No scanner at hand today, so a mobile pic will have to do. Prince Joff Baratheon. Another great casting choice by HBO, at least in the physical aspects.

Killing things clears my mind

Image
Alas, the King! One of them, at least :P Robert Baratheon

Daenerys Targaryen

Image
Dany was a nice character from the very beginning, that started to grow stronger and stronger from book 1 on, but still managed to remain so very human. At the moment, she is probably my fav main character (I'm usually more into secondary roles). I hope the HBO actress is up to the challenge. At least she looks exactly like I pictured the girl

Arya Stark

Image
Arya was the second character I sketched (after Jon) from A Game of Thrones, quite a long time ago, and I based her on my elder niece, Clara, who was approximately her age at the time. Of course, she does not look at all like the HBO TV series Arya, so here is the actress who plays the role.

Cersei Lannister

Image
I've always thought that Lena Headey is beautiful since I saw her in Brothers Grimm, but I find it harder to draw women that men, so I chose the scowl to make it easier. Plus it sorts of suits Cersei to scowl quite often :D

Family, Duty, Honor

Image
From the books, I was expecting Cat to be around the same age than Cersei, but the actress seem to work fine anyway. Working my way to april 17th!

Our knees don't bend so easily

Image
Yep, I know he was a bastard in the first book, but I can't help but love him from "A storm of swords" on. Too bad I'm not blonde, evil nor family. Maybe I could try for big, stubborn and strong :D:D

Hear me Roar

Image
My first HBO Lannister: Tyrion a.k.a. the Imp. I like Peter a lot. I think he'll do great as one of the main characters in the TV series

Winter is coming

Image
More specifically, on April 17th, 9 pm at HBO. And in the meantime, now that the casting is actually casted, I'll redraw the characters in the books accordingly, starting today with two of the Stark kids

Two old Venetia sketches

Image
From my second time there. Has it been really that long? :P
