Back to pencils lately, but not giving them much time :P

I'd rather have two: Winterfell and Riverun

Wintefell, as I promised, and Riverun, just because I am at THAT point in book 3 :)





These are 5 minutes sketches, but somehow I think I get these fast things better than the rest.

And on with pencil quick sketches: Harrenhal

This is a snap at old, haunted castle of Harrenhal, from Song of Fire and Ice. I finished yesterday A clash of Kings and I've just started A storm of Swords. Next sketch will be Winterfell from before ... what happens in book two (no spoilers here :P)

Asha Greyjoy and my dabblings with colors

I don't know exactly why, but colors and I do not get along :(
This is a second try to draw Asha Greyjoy, from A song of Fire and Ice, in digital colors. In my first one, I used just plain tones and got no volumes. I've tried to improve that in this one, but still, I'm not totally in with the effect ..



Luckily, I still got the hang on quick sketching :)

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban

Here is the first page of a Harry Potter comic I did back when films had not been released, so I pretty much designed every character. This corresponds to my fav book, the third, specifically to Harry's first visit to Honeydukes using the Marauders map. posted earlier a couple of colored pages, though I made a lot more later that did not make it further than pencil (a good idea, since I'm not that good at computer coloring :P). Might post them here, though :) Here are the pencil versions of those pages plus a new one.

Asha Greyjoy

On with a Song of Ice and Fire and I've got a new favorite character: Asha Greyjoy. Sure, she's only been there for a chapter at the point I've reached so far, but I strongly dislike her brother, so having her mocking him so much just made my day :D


Ironborn, he knew at a glance; lean and long-legged, with black hair cut short, wind-chafed skin, strong sure hands, a dirk at her belt

Then, I moved to his beloved siblings, Cersei and Jaime:



At this point, I started to think about who these characters reminded me to, so I did a little casting call and got to this



And, naturally (not really if you have not read a Game of Thrones, but I'm not writing spoilers yet), I wondered what Joff would look like

A game of thrones: Arya Stark

After my quick Arya sketch, I went to detail this weekend. This is a worked version of Arya in the first book, based on my 8-years old niece Clara. My kid is not much of a fighter or adventurer, she rather likes reading and drawing, but she was the correct age and looks good with a sword. By the bye, Clara is afraid of dogs, so I don't think she would be much into wolves. Anyways ... :)

Winter is coming!

I'm reading right now a Game of Thrones, so I just thought I could do very quick drafts of the characters (5-10 minutes each). Meet Arya Stark :)
