Fire Nation Elite Team, Ukiyo-e style

Image
Another Avatar sketch, heavily inspired on japanese Ukiyo-e art style.

Santiago de Chile is not that pretty :(

Image
Not that most large south-american cities are, either. Santiago, however, only has a few nice spots. The rest of the country is pretty amazing, though. Some old sketches I rescued from one of my books.

The most stylish place in Los Andes ...

Image
... is most likely San Pedro de Atacama (Chile), in the middle of the desert, around 4500 above sea level. Coffee shops and warm adobe pubs at freezing night temperatures.

And merry robo-hannukah too :)

Image
Just a quick modification of an older sketch, but I couldn't resist it :)

Merry Xmas 2010!

Katara, russian style

Image
This one goes to my One Niece, who wants to be like Katara ... and probably is quite a bit :) TRIA markers and heavily inspired in a Pushkin tale illustration.

Yoruichi vs Soi Fong

Image
Watercolors and markers. This is my fav screenshot in the whole Bleach series. I copied it from the TV and colored it later (I'm fast, but not shunpo-fast :D:D:D)

Zuko: Ukiyo-e style

Image
Still in Avatar mode. I need to switch to other characters, though, but I like red so much... :P

Sintra

Image
My fav village in Portugal is Sintra, 50 kms away from Lisbon. Not only it is a lovely, pretty place, but also full of castles, fortresses and other odd things like Quinta do Regaleira . It's been my 5th time there and my 1st visit to this place. Amazing!

Secure guest rights

Image
A scene from A Storm of Swords, when Cat commands her son to eat and drink whatever the Freys offer him to secure guest rights to prevent murder attempts.

Our roman theatre

Image
Yep, we also have one of these in Merida :)

More portuguese towns and villages

Lisbon by night

Image
Thanks to my beloved air controllers and their surprise strikes, instead of Salzburg I ended up in Lisbon, after many hours driving and losing a good amount of money. We can only hope for karma ... or privatization.

Almuñecar

Image
A little fishing village in Granada that became this huge summer holiday place years ago. I've been spending most of my summers there since I was born.

H is for ... Hellboy

Image
I like Hellboy from the very beginning. I also like BPRD and all Mignola's art (I just wish he did less covers and more comicbooks) and I would really love to get Fegredo back for a saga. Superb series!

Sant Cugat

Image
The monastery of Sant Cugat, painting with Swasky in Barcelona :)

G is for ... the Goblin Queen

Image
Back from the time when things happened in the X Men and you did not need a 30-issues multicolection saga every 3 months, I really liked the main line in Inferno. With Maddy Pryor going all evil on bland Scotty :D

Azula: Ukiyo-e style

Image
I got new TRIA markers recently and, finally (hey Inma! I did it!), I managed to spare some time to try them. A japanese like sketch with Azula, from AtLA, came to my mind ...

Viva Las Vegas (II)
